OILSTONE: EQUIPPING FOR MINISTRY LEADERSHIP.

Growing on the Job.

We believe, like learning to drive a car, leadership cannot be properly learned from a manual but rather from a life-time's journey sitting behind the wheel.

Program.

The program encompasses practical hands-on skills and tools that ministry leaders can use immediately. Training includes topics such as: Theological Foundations, Your personhood as a Leader, your Context/Environment, Ministry Philosophy, Mission/Values/Vision, People Skills, Coaching, Communicating as a Leader, Conflict and Difficult Conversations, Equipping and Empowering as a Leader, Self Care, Leadership Styles, Teams (Leadership and Membership), Enacting the Vision.

Coaching.

In addition to the training program, and without extra charge, each participant will be offered two 30 min (Skype) coaching sessions to ensure participants utilise program learnings. Oilstone encourages continuing on the job mentoring and referral to a suitable ongoing mentor can be provided.

Participants.

Fruitfulness in ministry leadership involves a life-time of learning and the program is designed to help you with the ongoing challenges you face in the midst of ministry. Your cohort will be 5-15 theologically qualified ministry leaders (various denominations and non denominational ministries), ideally with at least 5 years full-time vocational experience.
