NOTE 5 - Oilstone Cohort October 2015.
Four day intensive version of Oilstone rolled out in October 2015
The latest version of the Oilstone program was experienced by another cohort of Christian leaders in October 2015.
The four day program, run this time at Golden Grove, Newtown, involves four days and three evenings of resources and equipping. That means an additional program day involving new input and tools, along with more personal 'application' time.
Pastoral leaders came from a range of ministry contexts: 'family' and 'pastoral' size rural churches, 'program' size provincial city church, and 'corporate' size suburban church, as well as a team leader from a University ministry.
Participant statements:
Pastor, Program Sized Church, Provincial City.
'Last week I participated in the Oilstone Leadership program for pastors. It is the most formative leader and leadership material I've engaged with. And lots of fun too! Please contact me [email will be supplied on request] if you'd like to hear more about what I got out of it and why it might be right for you. Thanks Peter and Michael.'
Pastor, Pastoral sized church, Rural Town and Family Sized church, Rural Village.
'Thanks for a great course. It was really helpful and has had a great impact on my ministry here already.
'I've made a number of smart goals - mostly small goals to get me started. It is amazing what you can get done when you are clear about what you want to achieve.
'I realise now it is much easier to work with people with a shared vision rather than against them.
'People have really noticed a difference.
'I had no idea coming into the course that it would have such an impact. It has changed my whole approach to ministry. Thankyou.'
Associate Pastor, Corporate sized church, Sydney Suburbs.
'The Oilstone Leadership Conference was a transforming week that helped me to grow significantly as a leader in my ministry context. It gave me plenty of resources that will aid me on an ongoing basis for various situations. The combination of Peter & Michael worked brilliantly in delivering the course material in a way that was both engaging and highly practical. I thoroughly recommend this as a worthwhile investment for all ministry leaders.'Michael and Peter are currently taking expressions of interest in planned programs for 2016, including speciality programs focusing on Church planting and University Ministry.
